Our adventure with Maine Coon started in 1997. In September we visited the International Cats Show  what was werewe saw ‘a domestic lynx’. Two months later we were joined by our first female  tenant . It was Kimberly – a beautiful , black mackerel tabby girl -endowed with great looks and an amazing character. Her charming countenance was appreciated not only by us , but also by many jurors of International Cats Shows. In 1998 she was The Best Maine Coon female in the country and in February 1999 she gave birth to her first children . There were five girls – one of them is still living with us till today :- ) It was a great disaster for us – shortly afterwards our Kimbunia left us forever . We still remember her with tears in our eyes, however , fortunately , we have one of her daughters – Arina , and in her there is a small part of our first great cat love . Such were the beginnings – happy and sad , but we were always led by our hearts . We have learnt a lot since then – thanks to this , we can bring up our little ones with joy – our little cats in our cattery

Today Aldimari is a small , home cattery run by Mum – Mariola and daughter – Aldona registered in FIF-e . The name was coined by combining two names : ‘ Ald ‘ is  Aldona and ’Mari ’ stands for Mariola . We live in Wrocław in a apartment which we share with the other tenants , including , of course , our cats and our dog .   Our main principle in breeding has always been the same : bring up healthy and beautiful Maine Coons , and with time , also Norwegian Forest Cats . All of our cats are healthy, vaccination and they was tested  on  FeLV, FIV and FIP  and results was negative . Our Maine Coons are free from HD. Our breeding cats will be tested for HCM and  PKD. The partners for our females are selected very carefully , in order to avoid any possibility of kinship and they are covered only once a year . This gives us certainty that each mother has enough time to regain full fitness after another litter and the little ones are born healthy and strong . Our  cattery does not specialize in any particular colours . It gives us the same kind of joy to bring up every new generation :- ) Bringing up the kids is hard work and great responsibility , but the satisfaction is also huge and it becomes even bigger , when we learn about the joy which is felt by their new owners . Our kittens are never kept in cages !
